What Is Plaid?

Plaid is known as both a Cloth, and a Pattern.

Plaid as a material, is another form of Twilled Cloth, most often chequered or tartan, and made of wool, or a wool mix.

A Twilled Cloth is one that is woven so as to have a surface of diagonal parallel ridges,

It is also a famous pattern in clothing and is most commonly found manufactured in Cotton. The Cloth and the Pattern are used for Scarves, Skirts, Waistcoats, Shirts, Trousers, And Jackets, and has been popular since the 30's, and 60's.

The Cloth is warm and wintery, but also worn in summer for it's breathability.
